A lovely design concept
Ah! Its Friday and its going to be nice weather at the weekend which makes for lots of fun, I’m going to visit a friend in London – the one downside a very long trip on one of those cheap buses which go to pretty much every city in the UK, but take 4 years to get there.
Before I go I thought it would be worth mentioning a really nice concept that I found on the net today. If you know me I’m a big fan of concepts and conceptual art. Let me introduce the Leaf Tie a very special take on the:
…artificial cables all around us create a more dark and cold environment. The Leaf Tie takes the cables and wraps the cables while bringing life to a dull area. It serves the dual purpose of design and efficiency.
The Leaf tie is easy to use. It is simply used in the same manner as the cable-tie. All you have to do is wrap the Leaf Tie around the loose cables. The design of the Leaf tie makes the cables look like wrapped twigs. For young children or people that live in the city that tire from the artificially modern environment, the Leaf tie can for a short while let them experience a hint of nature.
When i think about Designs which do something I’m forever amazed that the creators do not make more on the idea that people who live in huge cities rarely get the chance to experience the “great outdoors’ as country folk like myself do on a daily basis. Heck, I see all manner of animals on my daily travels into work. No joke, I once saw a donkey walking a long on the pavement.
The only problem I can see with this excellent concept is that the price will probably be extortionate, but lets be honest, its probably worth raiding your savings accounts to pick up these as they look great and are completely fit for purpose.
For some more excellent inspirational concepts head over to Luf Design and check out what they are raving about….
