Damn Irritating Family Award

My Award for the Most Irritating Family of the ‘Noughties’ goes to Richard, Verona and Rachelle Strauss of Langhope, Gloucestershire. Until yesterday I had never heard of them and probably until today you will not either.

The reasoning for this award for this fairly normal looking family is down in part to their obsession with all things recycling and ‘eco’. Their biggest accomplishment this years was apparently only filling 1 dustbin in an entire year.

With Climate Change on everyone’s agenda coming into the New Year, is it time we spend a little bit more of our time looking into and actually participating in green schemes in the next year and forever more?

The reason for their success in winning this title from The Whole Truth is down in part to the fact that I don’t enjoy my daily reading of the Daily Mail being interrupted by such wussy stories, especially over Christmas.
