Rainy Day Tip

In these modern times with the threat posed by , pushed forward by the arm chair/sofa culture, comes the possibility for all workers of a rainy trip to work.
Being a fairly poor young person with an shocking collection of inappropriate shoes for these changing times. I have come to the conclusion that investments should be made by all.

Now im not talking about buy new waterproof shoes – albeit the opposite: I rely on cheap 5$ shoes from a dodgy vendor in London, I buy bulk like my pasta.
Now turning up to work wet is inevitable on days like I experienced today, even my fairly respectable umbrella failed to deliver.
After arriving at work and sitting down with my bowl of cereal, feeling somewhat like a drowned rat, I decided to take my socks and shoes off and stuff with newspaper, some would say the obvious thing to do.

After wandering around for a few minutes with the obvious “wet bottom of leg” syndrome, which is highly irritating! I decided why not stuff the newspaper down my sodden trousers?!

Also stuffing more newspaper up the bottoms of my leg… The result – comfort away from my wet leg and an hour later the bottoms of my trousers are perfectly dry!

Cricket Balls

Nothing is better then a summer session watching the cricket hearing the unmistakable sound of the willow thwacking against the leather, a sound never to be bettered in my mind.

With the Ashes series coming up later this year, now has never been a time for fashion to get on board.Paul Smith of Jean fame has got in on the act with this excellent example of fashion branching out into the world of Cricket.

Now by definition a cricket ball must adhere to these specifications:- “For men’s cricket, the ball must weigh between 5.5 and 5.75 ounces (155.9 and 163.0 g) and measure between 8 13/16 and 9 in (224 and 229 mm) in circumference. Balls used in women’s and youth matches are slightly smaller.”

Here is Paul Smiths attempt which does adhear to these specifications…

Now you could technically use this in a Test Match or a One day match as the ICB have over the last few years been experimenting with different colour balls . Now how in your mind does this ball stand out compared to the standard cricket ball…

In many ways I feel that this ball is the perfect solution and could improve performance due to the colour scheme it has.

But I would recommend for the sake of your savings sticking with the $10 balls at the local sports shop!

No Logo(On Something)

Handbags have for a long time been predominately about how much the bag cost vs the designer who designed it.
Now If you can pull this off its is no mean feat, and the street cred you are bound to encounter will
blow your mind.
Over the last couple of years there has been a rise in these new canvas type bags which I guess where just not
popular at all. Now the interesting aspect of these bags is how they seem to be slogganed either with a companies
name or a incredibly thought provoking statement? I have found a few bags to demonstrate this. I think there fairly cool.
