Saving for Essentials

Whilst walking on the way to work this morning I noticed for the first time the plethora of company’s and the majority fairly large or fairly ‘well known’, had obvious schemes to help develop savings for the ‘loyal’ customers. It seems now that money saving is the new spending. Now what I always find so intriguing is how these bonus card things seem to actually work. Now me and the missus have the obvious Nectar and Tesco Cards, and it surprised me on the last shopping trip that we had roughly $20 worth of savings on one and around $10 on the other. What is so in my mind great about these cards is that despite the distinct lack of interest rates going they are a fairly solid platform to help save for the essentials.

Even Boots have a great card to help save for your beauty products etc and as I find out and im not one for beauty products. I have $5 on my card!

I think now is the real time to save in financially viable ways such as loyalty/bonus cards, to save for the essentials!
