Saving over Christmas
I think its probably fair to say that saving money is pretty hard. Over Christmas is a time for Spending money it seems and not really worrying about how much money you will have at the end of the month.
This Christmas I have tried fairly hard to actually think about each of the purchases made as presents for friends and family and budget accordingly.
One of the best Christmas presents I received came from my partners parents and it was a electronic money (see through) money box with a digital counter as to exactly how much you have put in the pot so to speak.
My biggest problem when It comes to money is that I can never see apart from the actual figure, how much money I actually saved away for a rainy day. What I personally struggle with most! Its all well and good having a high interest paying savings account either in a branch of your bank or online, as I do but then again I have internet banking so straight away I can transfer back into my account any of the savings I have tried to ‘save’, should I need too.
This new present I ‘hope’ will enable me to actually save a small bit each month and thanks to the see through nature of the pot, I can now see each how my savings rise.
Thanks to a good sweep through the house I have managed to find roughly $17 of change, which surprised me somewhat!
I do fully recommend one of these pots!
