We Dont Talk Anymore

After spending the last week, frantically working and watching presentations on various different topics, I came to the conclusion is being able to be contacted at all times a good thing? sure I have a mobile phone, mobile broadband, and Skype,  meaning I am contactable 24 hours a day, regardless of whether I actually want to be contacted… I can’t just turn the phone off, that would mean there would be an emergency in the family and yes, I would want to know about that.

It got me thinking would I be able to cope without contact in forms such as pay as you go mobile broadband, or my beloved 18 month phone contract, which suffice to say, seems to work and provide me with all I need.

I think not, unfortunately with the backwards, lazy attitute that most of my friends seem to have to arranging nights out etc, the prospect for them off arranging a time, a week or so say in advance, is frankly terrifying.

How hard is it for my “friends” to walk down the road and say “Govaner, are we going out for drinks this saturday @ 8pm?” – Not very.

The likelyhood of them contacting me in person is very small, I guess we just dont have a lot to talk about anymore…

In an attempt at making some serious money savings I personally recommend using home broadband mixed with a small, say 1GB Mobile Broadband. Who needs a phone?!
